WHAT’S THE COLOUR OF BRAVERY?
Different colours can evoke different feelings and emotions depending on what we associate them with or what they remind us of. White for example has connotations of purity, cleanliness and simplicity and can make us feel more secure or relaxed. Red on the other hand is a strong, bold and powerful colour creating feelings of passion and warmth.
Brands need to stand out to get noticed. Brave brands such as Rapha and Hiut Denim have to work even harder to resonate.
So what’s the colour of choice for these brave brands and others like Workshop Coffee?
Pink, which has connotations of love, energy and innocence makes it rarely used by mainstream brands. So Hiut Denim’s primary use monochrome allows them to use pink to make brave statement. Rapha have created a range of cycle wear for both men and woman which is both beautifully designed and safely visible and Workshop Coffee are brave enough to use pink seating to make sure their customers know they are not in for the usual Starbucks or Costa experience.
So what do you want your brand to be? Are you brave enough?
